About Us
From the Chairman's Desk
On 1st March 2021, I have joined as the Chairman of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank and become a member of AGVB family. This is a privilege of life time to become a member of this esteemed family consisting lakhs of our satisfied and trustworthy customers, spirited staff members, other stake holders from all sections of the society in this state of Assam.
AGVB is serving since last four decades for all the citizens of Assam and had rendered yeomen’s service for the rural folk and underprivileged sections of our society.

Our legacy of serving this rural sector will not only be continued but also we are determined to provide enhanced service to the small and marginal farmers, small entrepreneurs and businessmen from the state of Assam.
As a rural Bank for the state of Assam, there is special responsibility on us for contributing on the development of the economy of the state and our endeavor is to involve ourselves for the special linkage program of Government for women, tribal people and youth of the society so that poverty alleviation ratio can be increased and local populace can earn sustainable livelihood.
The state of Assam had already earned a distinction for its various unique product like handloom, Assam Silk, raw rice, herbs and medicinal plants etc. Many of such products are having niche Export market also. With collaboration of all concerned, AGVB intends to support such activities to uplift these products into a great height both nationally and internationally.
Finally, our Bank is not lagging in Technological arena also. With customer centric vision, we are constantly upgrading our technology for the satisfaction of all stake holders. This year will upgrade our CBS platform into new enriched version. There is also plan to collaborate with Fintech in near future for the benefit of farmers.
Again we rededicate ourselves with a pledge to work as an active and thriving Bank of this state for the all round development of the economy of the state.
